Inspired by the view of a double rainbow from the studio and my gallery art@rangitane in the beautiful Bay of Islands, New Zealand.

This painting was created during a ‘playdate’ in the studio…during the spiritual energy of the Lions Gate Portal. I was struggling with the previous version of this painting and then a big rainbow came out and I thought “you know what…. love it!” I took my broad palette knife and swept through the layers.

That’s the benefit of many layers, my friends…sometimes when you scrape stuff away there’s a little bit of magic beneath.
